William L. Beard (Willie) Artist/Owner

Willie is an enrolled member of the Pawnee tribe, Skidi band, and also
served as 2nd Chief of the Skidi band of the Nasharo (Chiefs) Council
for the Pawnee Nation.
Willie is a former board member of the Pawnee Chapter Native
American Church. Many of Willies' works of art are in the form of
Native American Church instruments, such as water buckets, lighter
sticks, and peyote boxes.
Willie has been an artist since his early childhood, and has produced
many outstanding paintings over the years.
Willie trained with master silversmith, Marlene Mameah, with the Pani
Arts Association under the Master Apprentice program and added
silversmithing to his vast array of artistic talents.
Willie is the son of the late Mabel and Gilbert Beard Sr., grandson of
the late Mary and Albin Leadingfox.
